ASTM
International is hosting the standards that are under development
for Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) Robots. The US&R
task group is designated as E54.08.01. This represents the fact
that the work is being carried out within the Operational Equipment
subcommittee, which is under the Homeland Security Applications
Committee.
Based
on the initial ASTM meeting held December 2005, the work has been
assigned to several working groups. The report from the initial
meeting is available here.
