4. FONTS

Provide laser printer (at least 300 dots per inch) or equivalent output with font sizes of acceptable quality.

5. HEADINGS

Major headings should be placed flush on the left-hand margin in the column, 12 point, Times font, Bold Type, numbered using arabic numbering. Use capitals and small capitals if available. Subheadings should be numbered using arabic numbering, set in italics and placed flush on the left-hand margin of the column on a separate line. A brief abstract (two column format) should be included as the first paragraph of the paper.

6. REFERENCES

List and number all bibliographical references at the end of the paper. When referring to them in the text, type the corresponding reference number in square brackets [1]. In general, all references must be available to the readers from the open literature. References to proprietary manuscripts, e.g. internal reports, should be avoided. An example of the proposed format for the list of references is given in what follows:

7. EQUATION NUMBERS

When numbering equations, enclose numbers in parentheses and place flush with right-hand margin of the column.

e=mc2 (1)
(1) goes flush with right-hand margin of the column

8. KEYWORDS

Keywords should be placed after the abstract. The word Keywords followed by a colon, should be in 12 point, bold Times font. The text of the keywords will be in 9 point, italic Times font.

9. PAGE NUMBERS

Number manuscript pages lightly in blue pencil on the reverse sides. Do not type page numbers on the face of a page.

10. SYMBOLS AND ACRONYMS

Use only standard symbols and unit abbreviations. The use of the International System of Units (SI units) is advocated. Define any acronyms the first time they appear.

11. STYLE GUIDE

13. FIGURES FOR PAPERS AND PRESENTATION

When producing presentation materials and reproduced art for the Proceedings, there are some factors to consider. For a piece of artwork to work well, figure lines should be clean and crisp, and all type within the figure should be bold and easy to read. Things to avoid include handwritten text in figures and text that is too small to be read clearly.
