Quantitative
Assessment of Navigation Solutions
for Mobile Robots
Motivation:
The
primary focus of this technical initiative is to bring together
what is so far an amorphous research community to define standardized
test methods that will enable researchers, vendors, and end-users
to quantify the performance characteristics of navigation solutions
and robot-generated maps for mobile robots; expediting technology
transfer and fostering research and development of mobile robots
that can operate safely in dynamic unstructured environments
by:
