WIRELESS COMMUNICATION INFORMATION

There will be only one 802.11b channel for our league to use. It will be assigned to us at the venue. Be prepared to switch to and use that channel exclusively for all on-site radio transmissions.

There will be several 802.11a channels for our league to use. They will be assigned to us at the venue. Be prepared to switch to and use these channels exclusively for all on-site radio transmissions.

Specific variances for technologies such as Bluetooth are under consideration and will be announced shortly.

Any teams transmitting within the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency ranges must comply with the assigned league channels and specific variances. Any interference, even inadvertent interference, with the assigned league channels and specific variances during scheduled practice or mission times is grounds for disqualification. In general, compliance with all local laws regarding radio communication power levels and transmission frequencies is required.
