How to get here

If you will arrive on campus during the housing registration times listed above, we recommend that you take MARTA (our Metro) from the airport to the Midtown (10th Street) station. This station is identified on the map as "MARTA." The train goes directly from the airport to this stop, you do not need to change trains.

We will have free shuttle service from the MARTA station to our check in locations during the the check in times on June 30 and July 1 -- look for a yellow bus with a "RoboCup" sign in the window.

Volunteers will direct you to exit at Woodruff Hall for west campus housing (senior) and Brittain Hall for east campus housing (junior).

If you will arrive on campus at times other than our open check in, please take a taxi to 871 McMillan Street NW (look for "Late Check In" on the map). And call:

Late arrivals call: 404-201-0751

------------------------------------------------------------
Parking

Those who are staying in on campus housing may purchase a parking permit at check in time. Permits are available at $30 (cash only please). These permits will allow you to park on the street in the housing area.

Those who are staying off campus may use any of the several pay lots on campus (blue areas on the campus map).

------------------------------------------------------------
Advice on customs and immigration

We suggest you bring a print out of the RoboCup 2007 website and photographs of your robots playing soccer. Show these items to the Customs officials as you go through the airport. It will help them understand the purpose of the robots.

Be sure to emphasize that all equipment will be going back with you, otherwise you may have to pay for import taxes. Also, if your robots are valued less (e.g. less than $2000) the procedures are simpler.

If you have a problem at the airport, call Tucker Balch at 678-523-8685.

------------------------------------------------------------
Do you Need 220V?

We will provide standard US power outlets at paddock areas. Standard US power is 110 V AC at 60 Hz. Some leagues and
teams have asked about 220 or 240 V AC power. It is difficult (and expensive) to anticipate who will need which
type, so we request you purchase an appropriate converter at the store below, and have the converter shipped to your
team at Georgia Tech:

http://www.voltageconverters.com/voltage_converters.html

Use the following address:

Your Name / RoboCup 07 XXXXXX League
College of Computing
888 Hemphill Avenue NW
Atlanta, GA 30318
USA

Shipping takes two days from the supplier.

------------------------------------------------------------
Internet access

Wired Internet access will be provided in all rooms on West Campus. On East Campus we will provide wired access in the rooms of team advisors.

Wireless Internet access via FASTPASS (a pay service) is available in most locations on campus. Set your SSID to "FASTPASS", open a browser and follow the payment and login instructions.
