Meeting Minutes 31 March 2006 Telecon In attendance: Fred Proctor, NIST Martin Hardwick, STEP Tools Inc. David Odendahl, Boeing Sid Venkatesh, Boeing Alain Brail, Airbus Alan Crawford, LSC It was agreed that the demonstration would show feature-based rough machining and toolpath-based finish machining. Boeing's fallback position on a Boeing part for the demo will be to take a 5-axis part, adjusted so as not to be proprietary. Boeing will do finish cutting using explicit toolpaths, beginning with stock resulting from feature-based roughing. The demonstration will show the following: Video of Boeing cutting the Boeing part, with artifact to show Video of Airbus cutting the Boeing part, with artifact to show Live demo of Airbus cutting the Airbus part Test files will be exchanged ASAP so that all players can try some early tests and discover any incompatibilities. Action Items ------------ * Fred Proctor will inquire about Ted Vorburger's presence at the ISO meeting and plans to present AP 219. * Fred Proctor will add material relevant to the Toulouse demo on the NIST STEP-NC web site. * Fred Proctor will write up a scenario to accompany the graphical depiction. * Alain Brail will work on the Wednesday demo schedule, and * Martin Hardwick will work on the schedule for the rest of the week, collaboratively so they will fit together nicely. * Alan Crawford will send Martin Hardwick an AP 224 file of the Airbus part, post-roughing, to identify the features to be used for the demo. * Alain Brail will send David Odendahl the Catia process file for the Airbus part, through Fred Proctor and the web site. * David Odendahl will send Alain Brail an AP 238 file with the finishing toolpaths. * Fred Proctor will set up a teleconference for Tuesday 18 April, 3:00 pm GMT, 10:00 am EDT, 7:00 am PDT, 4:00 pm European Summer Time. * Alan Brail will set up a WebEx conference for the same time.
